At Mireu we train together all ages starting at 4 years old and up.  When a student needs individual help a higher rank belt is assigned to mentor the student and give extra assistance.  We have found that the little children look up to the older students.  Having higher rank students assist lower ranks, teaches good leadership skills.  We encourage families to train together.

If a student tests positive for COVID, they must stay at home 5 days until they are clear and mask for another 5 days.

My top priority is to make a safe environment for all to train.  I am in daily contact with  Alejandro Comellas Freymond, MD Director, Clinical Research Support, ICTS
Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine – Pulmonary, Critical Care and Occupational Medicine University of Iowa.  Parent of Mr. Michael Comellas.

We will work with students and parents to give you the latest information to educate and navigate the Corona Virus safely.
We hope to be a leader in these efforts, teaching the kids about proper PPE usage, social distancing, and related Covid information.  As we look at the opening of public schools children will need to be informed, have experience and guidance.  Taekwondo can reinforce your home efforts to keep all of us safe.  Please feel free to contact me via phone 319-430-2395 or mail lonniematthews11@gmail.com for any questions and needed information.
